Why teams move to OKLocate
It is not only Google. Mapbox sells storage as a separate, dearer endpoint; HERE puts it in the contract; the imagery vendors license per report, per seat or per order. The shape differs and the effect is the same, which is that keeping the answer is a line item. Here it is not one.

The answers are yours. That is the whole difference.
Every big location platform rents you an answer and takes it back. Cache it past their window, put it on a map that is not theirs, or build a table of it, and you are outside the terms. We have no such clause, and the reason is structural rather than generous.
Store it
Keep what you retrieve, with no expiry
Write it to your own database and keep it there. No cache window, no deletion clause, no audit right. Geocodes and addresses on every plan including Free; property measurements from Builder up.
Use it anywhere
No restrictions on where the answer goes
Render our geocodes on any base map, including one of ours or one of somebody else's. Join them to your own records. Ship them inside your product. Nothing in our terms ties an answer to the map it came from.
Why we can offer it
Nothing upstream forbids it
All 11 of our sources are free to acquire, 7 of them public domain. A vendor reselling proprietary data is contractually unable to let you keep it. We are not reselling any. Check every source and its licence.
A few sources attach conditions that follow the data downstream, and a small number of counties carry their own limits on how addresses may be reused. They bind us as they bind you, they come from the publishers rather than from us, and they are set out in full in section 5 of the terms.
Geocoding, typeahead, the base map and its layers are national today. Property measurements cover Illinois, Florida and Texas, 423 counties. Every state but Alaska is scheduled for Q4 2026.
Why it costs what it costs
The price is not a promotion. It is what happens when the data is free, the stack is open, and nobody is paying a per-request toll in the middle.
No toll on the data
$0 egress, and no licence in the price
Pull as much as you like and pay nothing to move it. All 11 of our sources are free to acquire, so there is no upstream licence fee inside your bill and nothing to renegotiate when you grow.
Fast because of where it runs
On Cloudflare, at the edge, everywhere
Every request is answered from the nearest of hundreds of edge locations rather than a region you picked. That is why typeahead comes back in about 100 ms, and it is also why serving it is cheap enough to price flat.
Open all the way down
Open data, open models, open analytics
Public imagery, public LiDAR, open-source models and open tile formats. Nothing in the stack bills us per call, so nothing bills you per call, and every figure we publish can be checked against the source it came from.

No sales call, no annual minimum, published prices. Geocoding and maps are national today; property measurements cover Illinois, Florida and Texas: 423 counties, 17,465,952 homes. Every state but Alaska is scheduled for Q4 2026.
